Moonlit Ferry: Free Online River Crossing Puzzle Game
Moonlit Ferry is a free browser puzzle game inspired by the classic river-crossing logic puzzle. Row a small ferry across a moonlit river and carry every Lantern-Keeper and Fog Imp to the far bank, but never let the Imps outnumber the Keepers, or the lanterns go out. It has four levels, a hint button, an autoplay mode that solves the level for you and a game board that fits your screen with no scrolling. It needs no download or account and works on desktop, tablet and phone.
How to Play Moonlit Ferry
- Load the ferry. Tap a Keeper or an Imp on the same bank as the ferry to board it. Tap a passenger to unload it. The ferry has a limited number of seats.
- Sail. Press the big Sail Ferry button. The ferry needs at least one passenger to row.
- Keep the lanterns lit. Wherever there is at least one Keeper, the Imps there must not outnumber the Keepers. This applies to the bank you leave, the ferry and the bank you reach.
- Cross everyone. When every Keeper and Imp is on the right bank, the level is cleared.
- Beat the par. Each level shows the fewest crossings possible. Try to match it.

Autoplay Mode
Press Autoplay and the game plays a safe, shortest route by itself, loading the ferry, sailing and unloading step by step. Press Stop to take over at any time. To open a game without the start screen, add ?autoplay=1 to the page link, or ?demo=1 to start the autoplay straight away.
Tips for Beginners
Think about both banks at once. Moving two characters is often safer than moving one, and sometimes the best move is to bring a passenger back. The red warning on a bank shows when the Imps there already outnumber the Keepers. Use Hint when you are stuck and Undo to try again.
